Day 01 : Cochin - The Gateway of
Kerala
Welcome
on board at the Cochin Airport, where you would be received by our tour
representative who will assist and introduce you to the chauffer, who drive’s
you throughout your tour. Later transfer to the hotel. Cochin, which is also
the Commercial and Industrial Capital of Kerala. This city is situated
amidst the Western Ghats on the east and Arabian Sea on the West. It’s
the starting point of exploring the diversity and beauty of Kerala. Later in
the noon proceed for the local tour of cochin which includes - Dutch Palace,
Jewish Synagogue, St.Francis Church, Bolghatty, Gunda and Willingdon
Islands, Kerala History Museum, Hill Palace Museum, Parishath Taamburan
Museum, Santacruz Cathedral (Basilica) and the Chinese fishing net suspended
over the sea. Later check in hotel for a overnight stay at Cochin.
Day 02 : Cochin - Kumarakom
Next morning drive to Kumarakom which is just 60 Kms away from Cochin.
Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake along with
lush vegetation and great climate which attracts a number of tourist. On
arrival check in at the Kumarakom back water resort and later move for a
local tour of Kumarakom which includes Kumarakom bird sanctuaries, house
boat jetty and so on and over night stay at Kumarakom backwater resort.
Day 03 : Kumarakom - Alleppey
Morning after breakfast move into the deluxe house boat - a pleasant
journey to Kumarakom and Alleppey Backwaters. The journey in the house boat
is considered to be one of the major attractions at the backwater land. The
house boat is fully furnished, it comprises of a sun deck, private balcony,
kitchen and others. The lanters are used as a source of light to get into
the touch of the tradition. It comprises a Chef, Crew and two oarsmen. You
would enjoy the same facilities offered in a star hotel at the house boat
itself. Spend a night at the house boat. For anyone looking for a laidback
vacation in Kerala, this is the one of the best place.
Day 04 : Alleppey
After
breakfast check out house boat, as you would reach Allepey by then. Board
the cab to be transferred to the Alleppey resort and later move out for a
local tour of Allepey, which is a place of immense natural beauty. It has a
vast network of lakes, lagoons and fresh water. It is also known as
Alappuzha. It has its importance as a backwater tourist destination which
has attracted a lot of foreign travellers . The places of interest are -
Alleppy Beach, Kuttanad – the rice bowl of Kerala, and so on. Later in
the evening return to the resort for a overnight stay at Alleppey
Day 05 : Alleppey - Kovalam
Morning after breakfast enjoy a plesant drive to Kovalam which is 170 kms
away. On reaching Kovalam check into the beach resort . Kovalam is also
known as the “Paradise of the south”. The name represents a grove
of Coconut trees, and the place also offers a endless sight of this. This
place is also well known for ayurvedic massage on the beach shore. The
cresent shaped beach has 3 parts – the southern most – a light
house beach, the northern Samudra and the middle hawah. The clean white
sandy beach will no doubt attract any tourist. Move towards the tour of
kovalam later in the noon. The impressive places are - Padmanabhapuram and
Kaudiar Palace’s, Anchuthengu Fort, Napier Museum, Kuthiramalika Palace
Museum, Sankhumugham Beach and others. Return back to the hotel for a
overnight stay at Kovalam
Day 06 : Kovalam
Morning after breakfast rest of the day is free to relax with Ayurvedic
massage on the beach shore and a over night stay at kovalam beach resort
Day 07 : Kovalam - Trivanduram
After breakfast drive towards Trivanduram airport to board the flight for
the onwards destination.
